He was trained, and studied at Southeastern Louisiana University and the Mannes School of Music, from where he graduated with an Artist Diploma. And then he got so addicted and once he suffered from stomach pain which made him into bed for several days. His health condition got weaker and finally, he died on September 15, 1980, in New York City. The reason behind death came out to be the combination of peptic ulcer, cirrhosis, untreated hepatitis, and bronchial pneumonia. Though he is no more with us, his unconventional style, black chords and much more are still the sources of inspiration to many youths.
